Times are getting crazy, and don’t look like they’re going to get much easier soon.
I have many of friends who have their own businesses, and I shop at many more local dtores. And many of those businesses and stores are suffering badly during this time of uncertainty.
Buying Canadian is a good way to bypass some of the insanity from our neiebours to the South, but many local merchants are feeling the results of that. are having to make big and often expensive changes to try to stay afloat.
They have to try to find Canadian supliers for their goods and while that is often possiblr, the sippliers themselves are probably having to adjust their prices.
They most likely have inventory already in stock and paid for, that came from the U.S. . Not buying their current inventory wll cost them, and they may have to pass that cost on to their customers.
I myself am gong to continue to buy current inventory from my local merchants, even if it’s from the I.S. But I’m going to talk to the business owners to find out whay their buying policies will be going forward, once the current stocks are gone.
And I will encourage them to find Canadian goods and services, to help their customers to Buy Canadian.
