It’s a phrase you hear marketing gurus use frequently, and I really despise it.
When we lived on the farm I used a funnel when I was putting up preserves – jar after jar of tomatoes, pickles, beets, all the same. And I’d see my shelves fill up, row after row, all identical, all the same.
Well, I don’t want my clients to be all the same. I don’t want to herd people into a funnel and pour them into a one-size-fits-all jar of a website. I don’t want my portfolio to fill up with row after row of identical sites, all the same.
I want individuals, people who are all doing different things, people who are passionate about what they do. And I want to give them dynamic, appealing websites that reflect their individuality in all its uniqueness.
So – no funnels for me, thanks.
Sounds good!
