Kidz Mpowered

The Challenge
- Hana Sweica needed a website to advertise her services.
- She was hosting with GoDaddy and was not satisfied with the limitations of the site builder there.
- She had a lot of content, many images as well as text.
- She wanted people to be able to register online for certain workshops and sessions
- Ahe also wanted people to be able to purchase them directly from the website.
- Se also wanted to be able to update the site herself, with new content, particularly with posters advertising new offerings.
The Solution
- Moving away from the GoDaddy site, which was built with GoDaddy’s platform, I took screenshots of every page to use as guides to the design.
- I created a database on her new host and installed WordPress, using a unique set of table prefixes as the first step in security for the site.
- I then discussed the look and feel of the site with Hana, and she told that she wanted a whole new look.
- I installed the Divi theme on the WordPress platform and created the basic page layouts.
- Hana provided me with all the text and images for the site, having created many of the images herself.
- I set up a folder on the server to hold the various registration forms as fillable PDF files.
- I created and tested more than 20 PayPal buttons and embedded them in the site so that people can pay for the services directly from the website.
- Over time, I have been training Hana how to update the site herself, and she is now able to manage the site with very little help from me.
