Dr. Anne McMurtry
The Challenge
- Dr. McMurtry wanted a site to help her promote her services as a Reiki Master and Crystal Healer.
- There was a time factor involved, since she was changing hosting away from GoDaddy.
- Dr. mcMurtry wanted the new site to be an exact copy of the original as far as layout and images were concerned.
- She also wanted to be able to update the site herself, with new content, particularly Blog posts.
The Solution
- Moving away from the GoDaddy site, which was built with GoDaddy’s platform, I took screenshots of every page to use as guides to the design.
- I created a database on her new host and installed WordPress, using a unique set of table prefixes as the first step in security for the site.
- I then developed a theme to style the site so it replicated the look of the original site, writing styling (CSS) code for the site colours and typography.
