Ann Tamey

The Challenge

• Ann Tamey wanted a site that would help her to promote her books, and reach a wide audience of parents and children.
• She wanted to be able to update the site herself, with new content, particularly Blog posts.
• She wanted to include audio files of her reading from some of her books.
• She also wanted help designing the covers for the three books she currently has awaiting publication.
• There was a time factor involved, with the publisher waiting for the cover art for the books.

The Solution

• First I designed the book covers, so they could be sent to the publisher immediately.
• I created a database on her host and installed WordPress, using a unique set of table prefixes as the first step in security for the site.
• I then developed a theme to style the site so it had a coherent look and feel, writing staying code for the site colours and typography.
• Using images sent to me by Ann, and some purchased online, I laid out the pages and added text sent to me by Ann.

NOTE:: While this site is live, and the top menu works, it is not yet finished. Some of the internal links still need to be created, including the Contact form and the audio links.
